Responsibilities
- Architect the 2026 innovation framework by analyzing emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and market disruption vectors
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate breakthrough concepts with $500K+ annual prototyping budgets
- Develop strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders to secure first-mover advantages
- Present quarterly innovation roadmaps to C-suite and secure $10M+ annual funding for strategic initiatives
- Mentor a 15-person innovation team while establishing KPIs for measuring future-readiness across the organization
- Author thought leadership publications and represent FutureHorizon at global innovation forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, product development, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale companies
- Proven track record of launching category-defining products with $100M+ revenue impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Advanced degree in Technology Strategy, Business Innovation, or related field; PhD or MBA from top-tier institution preferred
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with proficiency in foresight methodologies (horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and managing P&L for innovation ventures
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation cycles with measurable market impact
