Responsibilities
- Analyze macroeconomic, technological, and sociocultural trends to forecast 2026+ market shifts
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for disruptive innovations (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Lead ideation sessions for future product/service roadmaps with engineering and design teams
- Present strategic foresight to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and narratives
- Establish KPIs for future-readiness initiatives and measure impact against strategic goals
- Partner with R&D to prototype and validate emerging solutions
- Curate thought leadership content to position Horizon Labs as a futurism authority
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, innovation, or futurism roles
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Proven track record translating foresight into commercialized solutions
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (blockchain, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation publications
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., STEEP analysis, Delphi method)
