Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and futurists in prototype development
- Analyze global tech trends and geopolitical shifts to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members with data-driven insights
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Partner with venture capital firms to scout and acquire cutting-edge startups
- Author annual 'State of 2026' industry forecast report
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of launching future-facing products (e.g., AR/VR, autonomous systems)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized AI
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent foresight methodology training
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning frameworks
- Published thought leadership in tech or innovation journals
- Fluency in strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
