Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps across quantum, AI, and synthetic biology domains
- Lead horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies and market inflection points
- Champion ethical frameworks for emerging technologies ensuring responsible innovation
- Manage a $10M annual R&D budget with portfolio allocation to 2026-focused initiatives
- Present future scenarios to C-suite and board members for strategic decision-making
- Mentor innovation teams in rapid prototyping and agile development methodologies
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech preferred)
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEPLE)
- Deep understanding of technological convergence and exponential growth patterns
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams in R&D environments
- Published thought leadership on future-of-work or technology ethics
- Strong network of innovation leaders in Fortune 500 and academic circles
