Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 2026 commercial viability (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for next-gen product development aligned with 2026 market projections
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing concepts
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build and maintain industry partnerships with tech pioneers and research institutions
- Author thought leadership publications on 2026 technology trends
- Mentor junior strategists in future-focused methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, advanced AI, or neurotech
- Exceptional analytical and systems thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating 2026-vision technology projects
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight (e.g., CFTe)
