Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks for 2026-era autonomous systems
- Conduct algorithmic audits for bias, fairness, and transparency in production models
- Develop bias mitigation protocols for high-stakes AI applications (healthcare, finance, transportation)
- Create interpretability tools to explain complex AI decision-making processes to stakeholders
- Establish compliance protocols for evolving AI regulations (EU AI Act, state-level legislation)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed ethical considerations throughout AI development lifecycles
- Publish thought leadership on emerging AI ethics challenges and solutions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in AI ethics, responsible AI development, or algorithmic governance
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Deep understanding of ethical frameworks (utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics)
- Experience with bias detection tools (AIF360, Fairlearn) and fairness metrics
- Strong background in regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST AI RMF)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
